Jigging Cancun Is a vertical fishing technique originally developed by Japanese anglers in order to reach species deep down below. There are basically two different types of jigging, speed jigging with heavy led jigs and bucktails and the everyday more popular style of slow pitch.
Speed jigging Cancun As the name reveals this is a very active and fast type of jigging meant to trigger a strike from aggressive species such as Amberjack, Almaco jack but also different types of Trevally, Barracuda, Tuna etc. There are very few species that cannot be caught by some sort of jigging. Jigs come in different weight classes, colors and shapes. But we re mainly talking about a somewhat slim, heavy jig which allows us to effectively fish down to lets say 150m/450ft or so all the way up to the upper water column if required.
Trolling is a method of fishing where one or more fishing lines, baited with lures or bait fish, are drawn through the water. This may be behind a moving boat, or by slowly winding the line in when fishing from a static position, or even sweeping the line from side-to-side, e.g. when fishing from a jetty
